The Museum of Art in The University of Southern Mississippi’s (USM) School of Performing and Visual Arts will open its National Poster Show exhibition on Jan. 26 through Feb. 24 on the Hattiesburg campus.

Niles, MI – Graphic Designer and Illustrator, Steve Sult of Niles, Michigan (www.sultminecreative.com) is pleased to announce that two entries have been selected for the Southern Miss National Juried Poster Show, 2025 at The Museum of Art in The University of Southern Mississippi’s (USM) School of Performing and Visual Arts will open its National Poster Show exhibition on Jan. 26 through Feb. 24 on the Hattiesburg campus.

The national juried exhibition showcases posters by graphic artists across the U.S., featuring juror Michael Borosky, distinguished USM alum and co-founder of Eleven Inc. Borosky's celebrated career includes collaborations with iconic brands like Apple, Google, and Disney.

The National Poster Show features over thirty posters designed by graphic artists from across the country. The jury process was based purely on artistic and design excellence and the works selected range from traditional posters and illustrations to more experimental works.

Steve Sult's YWCA/Everybody Has a Story concert benefit poster from 2019 features Sult's art style

which is highly influenced by DIY movements, as well as the visual design of Eastern European propaganda posters. Sult's art style is distinguished by the use of a limited color palette of black, red, and white digitally simulating screen printing, stenciling, and collage processes.

"Ed Lloyd Black Jacket Golf and Dinner Poster"  Sult designed the poster using subtle color combinations and classic lettering, which lend high style to the event. In both the art elements and typography, readability is the focus.

About Steve Sult: Sult creates his art in Southwestern Michigan from his studio in Niles, Michigan. Steve opened his doors in 2003 as Sult Mine Creative Group and gained a national and international reputation as a creative director, art director, and illustrating designer, developing new product introductions – successfully contributing to over seventy established and emerging client organizations in diverse industries in the US, South America, China, and Europe. Today, Steve has refined this style created early in his career. His work combines elements of WPA's poster campaigns in the 1930s, pop art, Russian Constructivists art, and decorative art all being applied to poster art. It's like sitting on the fence between graphic design and illustration, blurring the boundary between traditional and commercial art through type and image via fine art prints, apparel, home products, and posters in public spaces.
